GTP - Forever Young

My baby, now
Though you look INTO my eyes
My baby tomorrow
Though you're looking ahead
My baby, always
As you drive away
You're my baby still today...

Forever Young

May the good lord be with you down every road you're on
And may sunshine and happiness, surround you when you're far fromhome
And may you grow to be proud, dignified and true
And do unto others as you'd have done to you

Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever young, forever young, forever young

May good fortune be with you, may your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to heaven with your prince or your vagabond

And may you never love in vain
And in my heart you will remain
Forever young, forever young, forever young

Forever Young
Forever Young

And when you finally fly away, I'll be hoping that I served youwell
For all the wisdom of a lifetime, no one can ever tell

But whatever road you choose
I'm right behind you
Win or lose
Forever Young, Forver young, forever young

Forever Young
Forever Young
Forever Young
Forever Young

My days...

Have I ever mentioned how kids irritate me? I don't like children, and I like parents that can't wrangle their heathens even less. I feel that if I get run into by your wailing child I get a free kick. Keep a hold of your ball of snot, and I won't attempt a PAT... (I appreciate places that don't like pissy kids as well... this was in a deli in downtown Lancaster... I want that sign!)

I may as well consider today MY Friday. I have to work my ass off to get things done today, as I won't be back in the office until next Tuesday... It didn't start off too well though.

I had a horrible headache start last night, and couldn't get to sleep... I've been worrying about some things that I can do very little about, but need to figure out how to work around them... it keeps me up.

Soooo... I did get to sleep, but then overslept. Didn't get in until 9:30 this morning. I have payroll to process today, and so that puts me behind considerably. (I'm waiting for the process to complete now, so not to worry...)

I'm going to a meeting for our payroll/HR software tomorrow in Columbus. That's an all day thing. I have to be here at the office by 7:30, so no oversleeping for me. That's my last day of work (if you can call it that), as I'm taking Friday off, and Monday is the holiday.

Linda and I are going to visit with some friends of hers that are coming down from Michigan. We're going to Wooster... what the hell is in Wooster?? I honestly don't know. I do know it's 20 miles or so from Canton - can we say "Football Hall of Fame"? I think that's it... If it's not too much of a stretch I'd like to try to make it up to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. That'd be cool. Otherwise it's Wooster. They have cheese... it can't be all bad. :D

Ok, I'm back to work now. People don't pay themselves.

Have a beautiful day, my beautiful people!

Destination Downtown - Movie Night

Last night was a free movie in downtown. It was a community event to get people interested in our downtown... to visit vendors and stores located there, as well as to maintain a relationship with the population to gain more businesses. It was a great lil event, and before the show started Linda and I walked around downtown a bit to get some pictures, and to just wander...

A pretty flowah...

Another pretty flowah:

Drunken cherubs peeing in the fountain:

Someone lives here...

An old church converted into a house... kinda cool. Linda wanted to stop to ask why they bought a church as a house... I thought it was an awesome idea!

The fountain in the park...

And the drunken cherub party continues on...

It was a nice little turnout for the very first Movie at the Gazeebo

The screen wasn't very big, but the setting, and the atmosphere was nice

Welcome to Downtown Lancaster

Ok, so if she "believes" and knows Regina is the Evil Queen... what's the point of furthering the story? I don't see where this is going.

52 Week Project - Week 20 - Theme "Jump"

I thunk and thunk about how I could do something for jump other than actually jumping... Jumping is pretty much action for the word, huh? I know I wasn't going to jump anywhere... nor was I going to be sitting around waiting for something to jump... Taking a shot of me telling someone to take a flying leap... still, without an explanation...

So here's what I have. It was from my son Casey's final track meet. She's jumping!!

Writing Prompt - NaNoWriMo (on FB)

As I sat staring ahead, the screen screamed to life, colors exploding in an array of pixels meant to make sense out of the senseless. My fingers flew across the keys as pages of information flew by, indecipherable to most, but the life-blood to many.

Conversations around me become nothing more than accompanying white noise, soothing me with the realization that those conversations exist for this moment. If I stop, the chattering voices will cease to project their self-importance, and wither away to whimpers of a whining child.

Nothing can stop me now, as my mind continues to process seemingly endless streams of data... 1's, 0's... some 2's and 4's even. A bead of sweat forms on my brow as an intense light from overhead shines down into my eyes, blinding me momentarily. I barely slow my pace to swipe at a rogue drip forming at the very edge of my eye.

Finally, and with a triumphant scream of superiority, I hit "enter" for the last time this day.The tiny glass clock on my desk struck five, and with the completion of my duties, I bid a hale farewell to the tiny voices that are now quickly fading behind me as I walk out of the office.

The NaNoWriMo Challenge was to: "Tell us what you've done today, but make it exciting! Dramatic! Get us on the edge of our seats just by finding the right words to describe the mundane."

The "Super" Moon

I didn't get out early enough (I was being hounded for prom pictures) and so I got shots a bit later. While it was full, and at its perigee (closest point to earth in its orbit), it wasn't the big, bold, pink hued moon that I wanted to get.

Next Shot - Week 10 - Technique - Differential Focusing

I wanted to show the detail of the Sheridan Generals (a local high school) logo, while not completely blocking out that it's on a car. I didn't want the car (which is AWESOME) to continually take away from the logo, so I focused solely on the logo, and panned out a bit to the left... it obscured the detail of the car, but left the logo in focus.

It's not a statue, but... I think it works.

Sydney and I

Isn't she beautimous?

Sydney's Senior Prom is tonight. I'm off to get some pics of her and Zeke. Play nice and I'll share when I get back. :D

52 Week Photo Project - Week 18 - Shadow

Ok, so I shot this early this morning and didn't have more time to shoot to get it right, but maybe later this week...

Anyway... Here's MY shadow...
